All College of Arts and Sciences students, including those pursuing double majors and minors, are eligible to participate in Quest projects. Students pursuing other majors may also participate if their faculty mentor is in the College of Arts and Sciences.
If selected through a competitive application process, Quest undergraduate research award recipients receive $500 in stipend support at the beginning of their Quest project and an additional $500 following project completion after dissemination requirements are satisfied.
There is an application window for Quest applications each fall semester. Please check with your faculty mentor or Dr. Shannon Timmons, director of the Quest Program, at stimmons@ltu.edu for more details.
Students must regularly work with their faculty mentor following the fall award announcement through the end of the spring semester. Project outcomes must be presented by Quest students in the form of a poster presentation at LTU’s annual Research day event in April. Quest students must also work with their faculty mentor to record a 3-minute video detailing their project endeavors, which may be uploaded to the Quest website and shared via LTU social media channels to satisfy both dissemination criteria.
