The innovative partnership between Lawrence Tech and Ascension Michigan is designed to prepare nurses to meet the demands of the changing healthcare landscape. Students receive LTU’s signature “Theory and Practice” education and benefit from Ascension Michigan’s promise of compassionate, personalized care for all.
Students will rotate though the six Ascension Michigan hospital locations for a varied, professional experience without the loss in productivity that occurs when they have to navigate different healthcare systems. The rigorous, evidence-based curriculum, taught by healthcare professionals working in a real-world setting, incorporates an active collaborative approach to learning.

Mission
To develop innovative professional nursing leaders who are compassionate and caring healers dedicated to transforming healthcare through the art of nursing, research, theory, practice, technology, and community engagement.
The 2,400 square-foot laboratory includes a simulated intensive care unit hospital room that will have all equipment found normally found in the hospital setting-oxygen, suction, monitors-all surrounding a hospital bed.

Professional Licensure and Certification
As a part of the NC-Sara Reciprocity agreement, Lawrence Technological University is required to disclose publicly, the educational requirements for professions that require a license or certification to practice in that field*. This disclosure is not affected by the method of delivery of the program: online, on ground or hybrid. The full list of programs and certificates and their satisfaction of requirements can be found in the table listed below and on each individual college website.
Current and prospective students are encouraged to contact the licensing board of the state or territory in which they wish to practice post-graduation for further information and possible additional requirements. State board links may be accessed through the link provided in the table to the various professional associations. The table below is a good faith effort to provide the most current information on Lawrence Technological University programs and their status with regards to individual state requirements. Welcome from the Director
We are pleased to offer this academic practice partnership between Lawrence Technological University (LTU) and Ascension Michigan for a Bachelor in Science (BSN) degree in nursing. Once admitted, you will be joining the profession of nursing, which has been ranked the “most honest and ethical” profession for seventeen consecutive years. As an associate of Ascension Michigan since 1981 and a professor in higher learning since 1988, I am extremely blessed to part of this partnership and profession. As the nursing program grows, I will continue to be clinically active, as an acute care nurse practitioner, to ensure you are provided with the most current, relevant, and state of the art nursing program.
The program at LTU-Ascension is competitive and unique for several reasons. One, it is competitive with its 126 credit plan of study; yet unique in that the program is offered in 11 consecutive semesters, which allows students to obtain a BSN in four years, not five. Unlike many other universities, the program has nursing classes that start in the first semester. The academic practice partnership is also unique in the Detroit Tri-County area showcasing the partnership’s commitment to excellence in education and improvement in health outcomes. Clinical experiences will range from prevention and primary care to high acuity settings across six Ascension hospitals and outpatient settings. You will have access to three nursing simulation labs, one on the LTU campus and others at Ascension Providence Hospital, Southfield campus.
