The AAC is always looking for dependable students for part-time positions as student office assistants or peer tutors in math, business, natural sciences, computer science, engineering, architecture, and writing. 


Requirements: All AAC staff must be dependable, punctual, and enjoy working with and helping other students.

Availability: Most new positions become available before the start of Fall semester in August. Sometimes new positions are filled during the school year, or before the start of Spring and Summer semesters.

Tutor positions:

  • Review the tutor job description.
  • Pay: Starting pay rate is $9.87 per hour for undergraduates and $10 per hour for graduate students.
    Apply: Submit a resume and unofficial transcript to the AAC in person or electronically to aac@ltu.edu. You will need two faculty references from LTU faculty who can speak of your ability to guide students in the subjects you wish to tutor. Faculty can write a letter or use the Faculty Reference Form for Prospective Tutors.
