Conceptual Writing

Conceptual writing is an emerging experimental approach to composing that integrates text with art, science, and new technologies. It is both a subset of digital humanities and expanded writing, with the latter being a concept that begs the question, "What is writing becoming?" or "What will writing be postscript?" Aspects of conceptual writing include transcription, translation, redaction, appropriation, and constraint. Language, art, and technology are constantly changing and advancing and they will be used, explored, and integrated in ways not yet imagined.
