Office Manager

Looking for someone to provide administrative support to the Dean, as well as serve as the human resources representative for the College. The Office Manager supervises the full-time and part-time staff of the College, including student assistants.
The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to:
  • Act as the face of the College related to faculty, staff, and students
  • Oversees and facilitates departmental correspondence (letters, emails, reports)
  • Manages/facilitates the College’s personnel processes, documents, and files
  • Supports CoAD budget process
  • Act as staff support for Graduate Research Assistantships
  • Provide/Oversee staff and student support for CoAD Accreditation reports and on-site visits
  • Facilitate Industry Advisory Board Meetings
  • Student on-campus hiring, supervision, and scheduling
  • Act as back-up to staff members who are out of the office or working remotely
  • Support the DocuSign process, such as LOAs and other personnel forms
  • Scheduling and organizing Dean's Travel
  • Process reimbursements/check requests for Dean
  • All Dean and Associate Dean Facilitated Meeting Agendas/Minutes
  • Preparation of any Advising for the Dean
  • Act as a liaison for the Dean at appropriate meetings
  • All other assigned tasks

Tenure-Track Faculty / Architecture

Candidates must hold a terminal degree in architecture from an accredited institution. Professional registration is desirable but not essential. Successful candidates will have a record of, or a clear agenda for, future peer-reviewed scholarly and/or creative work and a clear research or practice trajectory. The field of expertise is open, but the ideal candidate will have experience in secondary areas of knowledge ranging from representation or foundations of design to production techniques or ecological / sustainable concerns. We’re looking for candidates with future-focused approaches to research methods or studio-based design pedagogy. Experience in cross-disciplinary opportunities linking architectural knowledge to parallel design disciplines, such as interior design, industrial design, transportation design, game design, or graphic design, is preferred.

We’re looking for teachers and scholars with strong communication skills and a willingness to become actively involved in the functioning of the department, including academic advising, curriculum development, program assessment, and recruitment. Preference will be given to candidates demonstrating a combination of design studio and lecture/seminar-based teaching experience at the college level, and the ability to work with and promote a diverse student body.
