Sandy Attia
Crafted Constructions
Join Lawrence Technological University's College of Architecture and Design on Tuesday, November 22nd at 12:30pm ET for the final Fall 2022 Lunch and Learn lecture as we present cofounding partner of MoDusArchitects, Sandy Attia.
Sandy will virtually present a number of recently completed projects that grapple with the majestic landscapes of the Dolomites and the tight knit historical contexts of the region, each producing an architecture whose presence wavers between more or less visible.
About Sandy
Sandy Attia was born in Cairo, raised in Kuwait, spent her university years in the States, and is currently practicing in Italy as the co-founding partner of MoDusArchitects together with Matteo Scagnol. Sandy holds a Master of Architecture from Harvard University, Graduate School of Design and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Virginia, School of Architecture. She has taught at TCAUP, University of Michigan, SOA Princeton University and is currently visiting professor at the Polytechnic University of Milan. Guided by the unfaltering belief in the capacity of architecture to bring people together, coalesce ideas, and posit synthetic responses to complex issues of contemporary culture in our built context, Sandy Attia continually seeks out new avenues of inquiry able to converge different disciplines.
