Non-Discrimination and University Standards

Lawrence Technological University (LTU) is committed to providing a workplace that is free from sexual harassment, discrimination, sexual misconduct and retaliation. LTU values and upholds the equal dignity of all members of its community and strives to balance the rights of the parties in the resolution process during what is often a difficult time for all those involved.

LTU adheres to all federal, state and local civil rights laws prohibiting discrimination in employment and education. The University does not discriminate in its employment practices on the basis of sex/gender. Sexual harassment, sexual assault, dating and domestic violence, stalking and sexual exploitation are prohibited under Title IX and by University policy.

The law and university policy prohibit discrimination and harassment of employees or discrimination and harassment between members of the University community: for example, between an employee and a supervisor, between two employees, or between an employee and an applicant or campus guest. Any member of the campus community who acts to deny, deprive or limit an employment opportunity of any member of the LTU community on the basis of sex is in violation of this policy.
