The advanced classes you took in high school could allow you to waive certain classes at LTU or get course credit toward graduation.

Please ask the testing agencies to send your scores to the Office of Admissions from the following tests: Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB), and College-Level Examination Program (CLEP).

To see how LTU will evaluate the test results, please see the corresponding flow chart.

Students who take AP course(s) in high school and take the corresponding exam may be eligible for credit towards their intended degree program at Lawrence Tech. Please review our AP Guidelines to see what tests are accepted by LTU, and the score(s) needed to transfer credit. Please note that not every AP test you take will transfer to Lawrence Tech, even if you earn the score necessary to transfer, as AP credit is reviewed by degree program. For example, AP Government credit cannot transfer into Mechanical Engineering, because there are no general electives in the Mechanical Engineering program at LTU.
Scores on International Baccalaureate (IB) examinations will only be considered for Lawrence Tech credit if taken at the Higher Level (HL). Exams taken at the Standard Level (SL) are not eligible to transfer to Lawrence Tech. Please review our IB Guidelines to see what tests are accepted by LTU, and the score(s) needed to transfer credit.  Students do not need to complete the full diploma to be eligible to receive credit.
Please review our CLEP Guidelines to see what tests are accepted, and the score(s) needed to transfer credit. Please be advised that CLEP credit is not offered to current LTU students, only incoming students.
Transfer credit can be reviewed for coursework completed from Cambridge A-Level qualifications or CNISE qualifications.
