Introduction to the concepts of 20th century physics: interference and diffraction, relativity, photoelectric effect, the Heisenberg uncertainty principle, Bohr's models of the atom, Schroedinger's wave equations, radioactivity, nuclear reactions, statistical mechanics, condensed matter physics, astrophysics and cosmology. Lecture 3 hrs.
